CLUB HISTORY

Carmarthen Vintage Society was set up in 1984 by Alun Evans & John Hancock because as enthusiasts of classic & vintage tractors and agricultural machinery they found there was no local club for like minded people to meet and share their interest. Since then the club has grown from strength to strength and now has over 70 members with interests and collections ranging from the well known “Grey Fergie” through David Brown, Fordson, International Harvester, Massey Ferguson & also encompassing a wide range of stationary engines, trailed implements, mounted implements and combine harvesters.
As a club we hold regular meetings where we have regular Guest Speakers and also arrange visits to both private & public collections of Agricultural Machinery.
Some meetings are what we call open when we may just have informal chats amongst ourselves or a member may bring in material for us all to see & discuss.
Carmarthen Vintage Society meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 8pm at the
The Tafarn Tanerdy Lodge in Carmarthen.
Non members are welcome to attend.
